B7 Studs & 2H Nuts

B7 bolts are threaded studs and are commonly used with 2H nuts. They can be produced in a variety of dimensions and pack configurations. MW stocks standard sizes for fast and easy delivery and offers multiple options for product customizations, including added finishes.

Our B7 studs are commonly coated with a fluoropolymer, although we offer a wide range of finishes including clear zinc, yellow cadmium, hot dip galvanized, and more. Our most popular product, B7 studs and nuts coated with a fluoropolymer finish, are considered superior due to their many added performance properties. They are easier to remove after prolonged exposure to corrosive environments since they are produced without the use of nut-locking oxides. This feature ensures excellent corrosion resistance, making them perfect for use in irrigation, chemical plants, refineries, and similar environments where corrosion is a concern.

We also offer industry-specific fasteners for specialized purposes such as American Petroleum Institute (API) fasteners. Our API 20E BSL-1 certified fasteners are in-stock and ready to ship, including API 20E certified B7 studs and API 20E certified 2H nuts.

B7 Stud Manufacturing

There is a particular manufacturing process associated with the production of B7 bolts to help them achieve the high level of performance that we’ve come to expect. This process includes heat-treating the material, chromium-molybdenum alloy steel, to 1150 degrees Fahrenheit and may involve adding a protective coating for added performance in extreme environmental conditions.

Characteristics of B7 Studs & Nuts

B7 bolts and studs are commonly requested due to their performance properties, including high tensile strength and superior heat resistance. When specialty coatings like fluoropolymer finishes are added, their performance in corrosive environments is also significantly enhanced. MW Components offers a variety of B7 products, including ASTM A193 B7 studs and ASTM A194 2H nuts as individual parts, B7 all thread studs, and B7 2H fastener assemblies.

Materials

B7 studs are produced from chromium molybdenum steel; however, if you require a stud, bolt, or coordinating nut from an alternate material, contact us for custom quote information.
